Ocean Coconut

Nowadays, we produce enough food to feed up to 15 billion people and hunger could be a thing of the past. The ocean reflects our mass consumption and wastage in an impressive way. Beside vast amounts of plastic and other garbage, the tides wash in plenty of potentially edible stuff like this coconut today. The big question was whether it is edible or not? We have tried it out, we opened the coconut with a machete, but unfortunately it was already too old. Anyhow it was fun and enriched our view of the world.

Update 12/01/2022
When we walked along the waterfront today in the morning all of the coconuts had been gone, which means also somebody else felt attracted by it. In addition at the same spot somebody was knocking off shells from the rocks, another potential survival food.
